At 8 I thought my world had simply fallen apart
They put me in a lab to learn Language Art
My mom saw the panic, an’ the shame an’ the doubt
She said, “Son, we got a problem. We can figure it out.”
Kids in the class knew that somethin’ was wrong

An’ for one brief second the whole world mourned
A moment of grace in the eye of a storm

From nation to nation, the virus hits us hard
We sunk into the rhythm of a planet distressed
Cut off an’ isolated, toilet paper obsessed
It hits me kind-a funny when I say it out loud
But you could taste the desperation and the fear in the crowd
For 12 long months the economy dropped
Social gathering stopped, an’ we thought that we would pop
You’d think that global tragedy would murder the game
